Our innocent/guilty goldilocks debating

Today we had a debating session about goldilocks being a criminal or being innocent. We were put into 2 groups and the guilty team won!

Today Mary Kyla and Caitlin made a poster for a challenge that we had in rm 15. Fortunately their poster came 1st place!

My poem

Today Alex wrote a poem about rain. We were learning about imagery writing. Have a read of it!

Rain

The monstrous clouds take over the sky,
With bowling ball sized hail and rain.
I hear the rain clip clopping into the Olympic sized puddles.
I see nothing because the thick misty fogg,
Blocks my vision.
I feel cold hard lightning bolts scratching my back,
As I walk through the mist!
Rain gives me the creeps!

Pass it ball skills

Today room 15 did pass it with Nicole. We learned how to catch a netball with our hands in the shape of a "w."

Mary and Sophie's diamante poem

Paper flowers

Today we made some paper flowers with Alex's granny! It was really fun and I wish that we could do it again!

Caitlin's recycled art!

Today Caitlin brung in her piece of recycled art! She made a super sized robot for her home work!

Sustainability Ignition

Today the whole middle school had something that helps us to figure out what our concept is. We all had to do things like- How long can you make a minty wrapper go? How long can you suck on a minty? How long can you sit on the wall?How long can you balance on one leg? How long can you balance a balloon on your finger? How long will it take not to blink? How far can you blow a feather in one breath? And my favourite because I won, How long can you cut a piece of paper? It was really really fun!

We have been learning about the prefix 'anti.'

Resurrection of the cross

The juniors put on an amazing play of the resurrection in the hall and they also read some thanks and resurrection of of the cross.

Stations of the cross

Today we had Stations of the Cross day to celebrate when Jesus died on Good Friday and rose on Easter Sunday.

Wow a butterfly!

Wow room 15 found a butterfly hatching out of a chrysalis.

Birds nest

This is a birds nest. The house it was found at was a house that had four cats, unfortunately the mother bird got eaten. A couple of days later the birds starved and died. You can see the beaks of the birds in the picture below if you look closely.

Alex the art teacher

This afternoon Alex was helping Hemi to paint a self portrait. Mrs Kemp and Mr James both agreed that Alex is indeed a very good teacher.

Word Maths day!

Today it was World Maths day. We spent almost all day on the computer doing it. Great fun!
